Fishing

The Uinta Wilderness is accessible via horseback or on foot, to some of the most unique trout fishing anywhere. Cutthroat trout, Brook Trout, Tiger Trout, and the rare Arctic grayling can also be found in certain areas. Our horseback fly fishing trips offer an excellent opportunity to explore pristine mountain lakes and streams, all the while enjoying spectacular alpine scenery. We operate in the East Fork of the Bear, Blacks Fork, Henrys Fork, and Smiths Fork drainages. All of which have good numbers of fish in the many pristine lakes and streams. The fish in these areas have not been subject to regular angling pressure and are therefore very cooperative, even for first-time fishermen. Double C Guides and Outfitters have experienced fly fishing guides to assist you if needed. Float tubes are available upon request at time of booking. If fishing is not your goal, guests are encouraged to soak in the beauty of the area while the rest of the group fishes. This is a great combination for anglers and non-anglers alike.
