Fishing

The Uinta Wilderness is accessible via horseback or on foot, to some of the most unique trout fishing anywhere. Depending on the location we can target Cutthroat trout, Brook Trout, Tiger Trout, and even the old sailfish of the north the Arctic grayling can also be found in certain lakes. Our horseback fly fishing trips offer an excellent opportunity to explore these pristine mountain lakes and streams, all the while enjoying spectacular alpine scenery.

We operate in most of the North Slope Drainages and in the Swift Creek, Yellowstone, and the Uinta Creek drainages on the South Slope. All of which have good numbers of fish in the many pristine lakes and streams. The fish in these waters have not been subject to regular angling pressure and are therefore very cooperative, even for first-time fishermen. Double C Guides and Outfitters have experienced fishing guides to assist you if needed. Whether you are an avid fly caster or prefer casting hardware we'll do everything possible to put you onto the fish. Float tubes are available upon request at time of booking. If fishing is not your goal, guests are encouraged to soak in the beauty of the area while the rest of the group fishes. This is a great combination for anglers and non-anglers alike.
